The Shuksan 3L Jacket is designed for green pioneers; alpinists and ski tourers who want high performing weather protection in the mountains and, at the same time who want to sustain and conserve the environment around them. A touring jacket designed to meet these demand. By using innovative and eco-friendly 3-layer material this jacket is naturally waterproof, windproof and extremely breathable. The robust, stretchy shell material consists up to 95% of post-consumer recycled polyamide. The PTFE-free Ceplex Green membrane is based on recycled polyurethane with S-Cafe®, which is manufactured from used coffee grounds. Additionally the lining is made from 100% recycled polyester. The design is made to suit the needs of mountain climbers: the jacket won’t slide out of the harness on big climbing moves; the adjustable hood is helmet-compatible. Large front pockets provide enough room for warm gloves or your topo map. During a tour, they’re also a great place to store your climbing skins, so that the warmth of your body keeps them warm in freezing temperatures for better sticking power and traction in the snow. Two side, higher positioned slide-in pockets also provide room for smaller essentials that need to be accessible even with your harness on.
